While park police shut down a section of the park for the bomb squad to investigate what turned out to be an innocuous bat detector, MPRB staff launched canoes full of smiling people to paddle around and explore the lake in the lovely afternoon sun. This free and fun opportunity will continue virtually all summer long, every Tuesday from 5-7p.m., because this park is a safe and beautiful place.
