John and Mason from Migizi Communications Indigenous Stewardship Institute and Malia from Heart of the Beast work on construction of a float for the May Day Parade. "Connecting with nature" Third-grader Aerralynn Lemberger writes the name of her school, Bancroft, into the dirt at Powderhorn Park. Aerralynn was part of a Wildwood North after-school group that spends Wednesdays in the park. The leader, Sam Royce, says he likes for the kids to have unstructured playtime as a way to connect with nature.
