“Charlie” I saw Charlie riding his trusty steed down Elliot Ave and wondered, "Who is that man with the eye-catchy flare on the back of his ride?” Turns out Charlie and I live on the same block. We agree that for anyone who spends enough time in the saddle, near misses with cars can be a weekly occurrence. Yet Charlie has figured out the most unique way to make his presence on the road obvious. In addition to his safety vest, from the handle bars to the back fender, this Schwinn cruiser is ladened with every type of reflector material he has found while commuting from home to his job at the Linden Hills Co-op. It is the most unique approach to bike safety I have seen and one that I may adopt in one form or another for my pony.
"Good Chair" I came across these chairs on the southside of the lake at Powderhorn Park while walking with my dogs.... upon closer inspection, I noticed the message inscribed on each chair - the Minneapolis Good Chair Project Facebook page describes what this is all about: "We create environments in Minneapolis parks to share, debate, engage, meditate, laugh, cry and imagine what's possible for yourself and the community."
