"Yard signs of Powderhorn Park" Yard signs with messages of love, inclusion, activism, and compassion abound throughout the Powderhorn Park neighborhood. #Resist & #Persist
“Together We Grow” Even at night time this 1,400 sq. foot mosaic at the northwest corner of Bloomington and Lake Street reflects the inspiring result of a four-year initiative by the Semilla Community Arts Program of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Semilla (seed) is an exposé of arts linking community groups, businesses and residents together visually. Led by local artist, Greta McLain, “Together We Grow” is a way to recognize the seeds of art in everyone’s lives. This magnificent array of glass and ceramic was pieced together by more than 300 volunteers, including children with special needs or those who may not have access or the opportunity to be a part of an art installation of this scale. It stands as a symbol of how the power of art can enrich the soil that helps our community prosper.
"Go Fly a Kite!" Sisters Ashley and Raven grew up in the Powderhorn neighborhood. They spent part of Easter Sunday with their kids at Powderhorn Park flying kites under perfect conditions.
