"It's Lilac Week" "Saw two little boys Friday morning, standing on the corner, waiting for the bus, their arms full of lilacs for the teacher. It's lilac week. The whole world overtaken by lilacs." (excerpt from Powderhorn poet Roy McBride's poem.) Even though it's a cloudy day, intermittently, the light gets bright enough for a shot like this, documenting the huge bursting of lilacs everywhere in Powderhorn this week. The aroma in the air is really sweet.
