"Hackberries everywhere" My front yard hackberry tree is still shedding at least 200 berries a day, along with leaves and twigs. If .1% of them germinate, I'll soon have about 100 little hackberry trees growing on my 15' X 10' green space. This photo demonstrates just how plentiful they are, all over the grass. I have to sweep my sidewalk every day. Today is a gloomy day, but at least we are not in Massachusetts where yesterday and today they were bombed by three feet of snow. Lucky us.
