"Pi (π) Day" Today, 3-14-15, was a celebration for math geeks around the globe. Saturday, March 14, 2015, marks the first five digits of Pi (π) and what's special about this holiday is that it won't happen for another hundred years. Math students have been celebrating in their classroom all week and I thought I'd honor the date with a slice of delicious breakfast "pie" from May Day Cafe. "A Good Day for a Chair" Today as I walked around the neighborhood, the weather in the high 50s Fahrenheit, I saw chairs everywhere being used and set up as people sat in the warmth and the sun. I found this chair on Bloomington Ave, looking like it had been set out for someone to to enjoy the sun earlier today.
“Sanctuary #2” The Church of the Holy Name will celebrate its 100th year in 2016. The original church was a small wooden structure situated on the corner of their existing lot. The current building dates back to 1961 and is the newest Catholic Church in Minneapolis.
