"Repurposed" All around the neighborhood, the environmental consciousness of the residents is made clear in many ways. One is the reusing and repurposing of older items. Here an old washing machine was converted to a flower pot. It also means a stroll around the neighborhood can yield quite a few fun surprises.
"Wheat Pennys" old-time music performers Brianna Lane and Sarah Cagley, from Minneapolis. They are shown here performing at the Tiny Diner Farmer’s Market. The market happens every Thursday, June-September, 5pm-8pm at the Tiny Diner 1024 E. 38th Street, in the Powderhorn Neighborhood.
"Retrieving the ball" It was a very windy day today, much more comfortable than the really hot, sticky days earlier this week. Our grandson Malcolm, 4 and a half, is retrieving the beach ball that we were playing with in our backyard. The wind just took it away. It's impressive that he was so careful and skillful about not damaging any of the plants in grandma's healthy garden.
