"Beautiful Day" Jim and Lynda enjoy a beautiful afternoon skiing in Powderhorn Park.
"Blue Christmas Lights" I walk by this display almost everyday; there is something haunting about the experience.
"Moving Clouds" There are moments most days when I feel a deep and sincere gratitude when I sit at the open window and there is a blue sky or moving clouds.

"Winter stroll" A family takes a walk with the dog on the newly surfaced pathway around Powderhorn Lake on this crisp winter morning. From the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board website: "The 2011 MPRB Capital Improvement Plan allocated $500,000 for pathway improvements, including lighting and surfacing, in Powderhorn Park. The community engaged in a planning process in the spring of 2012 and the project was available to contractors for bidding in March 2013." Completion was to be the end of November 2013, but there are questions from concerned neighbors about drainage and access, which the board is trying to address. All in all, it seems a welcome improvement, especially with anticipated resolution of some issues.

"Happiness is right around the corner" I love short work weeks before holidays. :-) I was bummed it was a gloomy day outside but I found a little piece of color with this photo. I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving and safe travels if you're leaving the city!

"According to Plan" After a week of no work our productivity sent us out of the house today with some very successful adventures, none of which went according to plan. This photo is of my photography friend. We were going to try something else tonight and stumbled upon ice skating. Found skates that fit. Had fun. The lake is quite cinematic this time of year. Perfect way to take my last photograph of the year with Powderhorn365.

"12-15-13" Charley and Jay our for a walk. Charley waited patiently while Jay and I talked, and obliged when Jay asked him to "shake" for the pic. A beautiful, cold (three degrees above zero) Sunday in Powderhorn Park, and very quiet during the Vikings game!
"Midnight Sledding" Joe, Phil, and Dave were sledding on one of the many hills in Powderhorn Park last night. I heard their yells of joy and decided to go shoot the experience. Dave even held my camera so I could have a run.

"Everyday Walk" Our morning walks to work have gotten a little chilly, but the light, snow, and people always make it interesting. We often see our students and parents walking to and from the school with us. There is a nice in-this-together feel every time.

"12-08-13" Robert Falcon, born in New York, raised in Puerto Rico, lives in Minneapolis, stopping at Tacos El Primo taco truck before responding to a heat call at one of the apartments he manages. Says Minnesotans are the best people, and he loves it here, even on a snowy Sunday. It was five degrees above zero and snowing, hope he gets the heat fixed soon. Good idea to fuel up with some tacos before getting down to business.
