"José and Hay" José has lived at 3633 13th Ave. S. for thirty years. José says he enjoys the Powderhorn neighborhood because it's close to downtown but much quieter. When I volunteered to be part of the Powderhorn365 project, I envisioned featuring José and his miniture beagle, Hay, in one of my Sunday pictures. Through José frequently walking Hay past my home, we have enjoyed getting to know each other. But for some reason, we had not crossed paths this year. José thought that maybe I had moved. It took until October, but José and Hay finally found me working in the yard. I was very happy to see them.
"The Hortons" It is the Horton family's 34th year decorating their whole yard at 35th and 13th Ave S. They are getting ready to carve 67 pumpkins. Here is (l to r) Diane, Dolly and Denise. *Also, they are featured in the Star Tribune today (front page of section B) commemorating the massive Halloween snowstorm of Oct. 31, 1991.
