"Search Grid for Jevonte Lynell Victor" *Updated at 10:46pm. Jevonte showed up at a relative's house on the north side, 16 hours after leaving home. Megan Alama organized a search party this evening to look for Jevonte Lynell Victor, a 9-year-old boy who is thought to have wandered away from home on the 3600 block of Portland Avenue at 5:45am this morning. From Megan's email: "If you have time tomorrow before or after work, or even during the day, please take some time to select and check an area on the map around the park that we didn't get to tonight. Please update the Google Map with your search area, or email me and I'll do it. At the very least, EVERYONE PLEASE check the following spaces that belong to you and your immediate neighbors: backyards, garages, under canoes, in boats, under trees/bushes, in dumpsters/garbage cans, etc. Jevonte disappeared once before several years ago and was found hiding under a overturned boat. If you find anything suspicious, call 911. Jevonte was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt with an orange logo, dark shorts, and red/white/black Air Jordan tennis shoes. He is 5'1", 70 lbs., 9 years old, and African American. He has asthma and needs to use an inhaler, which he does not have with him.
