"Signs, signs, everywhere (on this pole) signs" How many garage sales have been had? Dogs lost? Bands promoted? From the looks of this otherwise unused electrical pole at 31st and Bloomington—thousands. Apparently we have a lot of things to say, and we're not afraid to say them to anyone who passes by. And we have pretty good staple guns and hammers, too.
"ArtStop Garden" The ArtStop Garden is located at 3201 Chicago Avenue South. This community garden was created by the Parkside West Block Club in 1991 after local artist Florence Hill purchased the abandoned lot from the City. The group's goal was to create a feeling of serenity through the interactions of sculptures, flowers and trees. And that they did.
"First Family" While the ducks in Poho park are starting to choose mates, this duckie already has her family in tow. I found them gliding on the back of a car on Powderhorn Terrace.
