"Yes there still is a Fall, Powderhorn" Taken on 16th Avenue between 33rd and 34th; Quiana and Matthias saw this amazing tree! The yellow leaves glowed in the mid afternoon sun. With so many trees lost to early Winter, it was nice to see one bold maple staying strong.
"Nicole on the Tire Swing" Nicole, cute and single, is playing on a tire swing and enjoying her fall day. She has lived in Powderhorn for years, however, she is planning to move out of the neighborhood and into the CRC ( Cars are Coffins) neighborhood come this Wednesday. OH....how sad....
"A Day for Dangling Feet" Dave lives by Lake Phalen, but goes to church at Christ Church International on 13th and Lake. He is very involved in the church community, and as such considers himself a de facto member of the neighborhood; I'm inclined to agree. He had lots of nice words for the twin cities' park system in general, and our lovely park specifically. When he told me he was originally from Leadville, CO, I pointed out that they lay claim to the highest public use airport in North America. "Yeah, my pastor used to boast that he was the highest paid pastor in the country, " he replied. Good stuff.
