Born and raised in Northeast Minneapolis, Rebecca moved to Seattle to study fine arts photography at Seattle University. Returning to her roots in December of 2010, Rebecca is now located in South Minneapolis. Rebecca has always found interest in sitting back and observing people. From strangers on the street to intimate portraits in the studio, Rebecca enjoys the interactions between people and the play of light on the skin. With a college education emphasizing social justice and a lifelong desire to do more then just make images with her photography, Rebecca points her career towards documentary photography and fine art that tell stories and explore the human condition. Rebecca's goal for the Powderhorn365 project is to create portraits that show the diversity of the people who live and work in the Powderhorn neighborhood.
