Born in the lovely year of 1983, I was raised in East Bethel, Minnesota until I graduated high school in 2001. I spent my college years in both Duluth and Minneapolis, and in 2008 I moved to Atlanta to get my Master of Public Health from Emory University. I have been back in Minneapolis since 2010 and will live out the rest of my days in the Mill City. I am a shy person both photographically and personally, but the Powderhorn365 project has helped me break out of my photographic shell of only taking nature shots. The project has allowed me to work on my journalistic side through highlighting businesses in the neighborhood and talking to residents I normally would not interact with. The Powderhorn Park neighborhood a photographer's dream, and I, along with the rest of the project participants, hope to capture a bit of its charm each day.
