Mike Svendahl hand ties Swedish potato sausage at Ingebretsen's on East Lake Street Thursday morning. Svendahl, who has been behind the meat counter for 53 years, said he and the other butchers will make 1,000 pounds of potato sausage per day during the Christmas season. Svendahl grew up in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood and has worked as a butcher at the Scandinavian market since he was 16.
